ELPHINSTONE ROAD FLATS
This complex is located in the heart of the King’s College campus, only a minutes walk from the Queen Mother Library. It consists of 123 single
study bedrooms, all with wash hand basins, organised into flats of three, four and five with shared kitchen and shower room. This site is usually reserved for mature undergraduates and postgraduate students.
• Controlled parking on Elphinstone Road resident badge system - limited issue each year.
• All accommodation provided is in single study bedrooms
• All heating and lighting costs are included in the fees
• All bedding and bed linen are provided but not laundered
The following equipment is supplied and maintained by the University (in
self-catering accommodation only):
2 x sm conventional ovens with grills (five person flats at North Court, South
House and Elphinstone Road are provided with one domestic cooker with
grill and seven person flats with two)
1 x microwave oven
1 x domestic fridge freezer
1 x electric kettle
1 x vacuum cleaner
1 x clothes iron
1 x ironing board
1 x floor mop
1 x kitchen refuse bin
1 x study lamp (per resident)
1 x dustpan and brush
1 x toilet brush and holder

Located in Old Aberdeen, close to most of the University’s academic departments
Many other facilities are less than five minutes walk away, including:- the hub, Queen Mother Library, Butchart Recreation Centre, and King’s Pavilion Playing Fields & Swimming Pool, and University Medical Practice

Local amenities include a café bar, chemist (I hope this means DRUGS!), supermarket, Post Office, banks, bakery, Student Association shop, pubs, and a bookshop.

But DAMMIT - I have to wash my own sheets. Meh... I have been doing that for years...wonder if mom will send me some of my favorite detergent from the US? I like things I know and want my sheets to smell like lavender. :D
